Fries, Pies, and a Cookie Conundrum

In my latest review, I sampled McDonald's French Fries and two apple pies. Unfortunately, the fries seemed to have been cooked in old oil. To make matters worse, I received only one apple pie and was offered alternatives, including cookies. After a 15-minute wait, I had to inquire in-store, and even then, I received cold, stale cookies as a substitute. Overall, I'd rate this experience a 3-star.

Have you ever craved a quick, indulgent fix from your friendly neighborhood McDonald's? I recently swung by for a classic munchy combo: A basket of French Fries and two apple pies. As a long-time fan of their crispy, golden fries and sweet apple pie delights, my expectations were high.

The Fries Dilemma:

The moment I opened my order, I couldn't help but notice something amiss. The French fries, usually a delightful indulgence, not a basket and looked like they had taken a swim in some seriously old frying oil. They were limp and lacked the usual crunch, leaving me a bit disappointed. It was like receiving a lukewarm handshake instead of a warm embrace.

After a waiting period that extended a little over 15 minutes, my patience ran thin. I decided to take matters into my own hands and headed into the McDonald's store. It turns out my substitute "cookies" were waiting, but they were far from what I expected. They were not just cold; they were, for lack of a better word, old and uninspiring.

The Final Verdict:

In the end, my McDonald's experience left me with mixed feelings. The less-than-stellar fries and the unexpected cookie conundrum were disappointments, but I appreciated their effort to offer alternatives. However, the execution of that substitute fell short, and it didn't save the day.

Taking all factors into account, I'd give this McDonald's visit a 3-star rating. It was far from the delightful experience I had hoped for, and the quest for the perfect fries and pies continues. Until next time, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a better meal at the Golden Arches.
